OBA OKUNADE SIJUWADE IS DEAD


Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade who was born on January 1,1930 on Tuesday July 28, 2015 died at age 85 after a brief illness in London hospital. The monarch, who was said to have been flown from Nigeria since last Friday, died in the United Kingdom.  He is survived by four wives and several grand children and grandchildren. Two of his wives Olori Moni and Olori Odun were with him in the UK.

NASS MEMBERS ABSURD SALARIES; THREATS BY MEND TO RESUME MILITANT ACTIVITIES

The  Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND)  is protesting over what they describes as “the absurd salaries” of National Assembly members. they threatened to resume its militant activities if nothing is done to resolve the present problem of None payment of salaries, pensions and other benefits.
